World's first cast pot still
We realize high quality distilled liquor production with traditional Japanese technology.
ZEMON is an epoch-making distiller born from the manufacturing technology of the Bonsho of Takaoka copperware, which has a history of 400 years.
The two effects of copper and tin make it possible to produce more mellow and high-quality distilled liquor.
Suitable for producing not only whiskey but also various distilled liquors.
The technological capabilities of the Oigo Factory that makes the world's first
Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, where the old child factory is located, has a 400-year history of copperware manufacturing since the Kaga Domain, and even today, more than 90% of Japanese copperware is produced.
The high technology is also utilized in the repair of cultural properties.
Among them, Oigo Seisakusho boasts the top share of Japanese Bonsho and is the only manufacturer capable of manufacturing super-large Bonsho.

ZEMON casting work
Long life & high quality
It has become possible to manufacture with a wall thickness that was difficult with bending sheet metal processing like a conventional distiller, and has succeeded in dramatically extending the life of the distiller.
Also, by duplicating the mold, it is possible to replace only the worn parts.
It is a high-life and high-quality distiller that can only be cast with a high degree of freedom.
Short delivery time & cost reduction
Delivery time can be shortened because it is cast in a mold. In addition, by casting, the cost is reduced compared to conventional pot stills.
ZEMON enables the optimum amount of distillation according to the scale of the business.
Since ZEMON is made by casting, the amount of distillation can be changed according to the scale of the business by unitizing it.
-
For one body
2200l In the case of the initial distiller, the amount of one charge is 2/3 of the capacity of the distiller.
-
For two body
3800l In the case of the initial distiller, the amount of one charge is 2/3 of the capacity of the distiller.
-
For three body
4500l In the case of the initial distiller, the amount of one charge is 2/3 of the capacity of the distiller.
Good quality sake using copper-tin alloy and lead-free safety(Compliant with RoHS2 directive)
ZEMON is made of a copper-tin alloy containing about 90% copper and about 8% tin.
Tin is a high-grade metal that trades at about three times the price of copper.
Since ancient times, it has been said to mellow the taste of sake, and it has been used as a cooler for sake sets and shochu.
ZEMON contributes to the production of high quality distilled liquor by the two effects of copper and tin.
Also, by special refining from copper-tin alloy
Achieves safety lead-free. (Compatible with the RoHS2 directive)
- Cu(copper) 86.0 - 90.0
- Sn(tin) 7.0 - 9.0
Effectiveness of cast surface that promotes chemical reaction
ZEMON produced by casting has irregularities on the surface due to sand molds.
This unevenness increases the contact area with steam and maximizes the effect of copper and tin.
Achieves energy saving with the power of bronze that does not easily release heat
The bronze used in ZEMON has a thermal conductivity as low as about 1/8 that of pure copper, and because it is cast with a thick wall, it has the characteristic that heat during distillation does not easily escape. Therefore, compared to conventional distillers, the amount that can be distilled using the same energy is increased by 188%, achieving high energy efficiency.
About maintenance
ZEMON can be cast for each part.
Therefore, it is possible to make various sake qualities by replacing each part, and by replacing only the worn parts, it has high maintainability considering long-term use.
